Our shipping methods are meticulously designed to ensure that your meat order gets to you as fresh and as fast as possible, while being extremely affordable. All meat orders are shipped Next Day via FedEx. Orders placed before Midnight EST Monday-Wednesday are shipped the following day via FedEx Next Day Air. Packages are monitored by PeriShip, a company that specializes in perishable shipping, to make sure they arrive on time without interruptions. In the event of a shipping issue, PeriShip will coordinate with FedEx and the customer to resolve any problem. All packages are shipped with enough coolant to last for over 48 hours of transit time (over a full day past the expected delivery). Note, apparel can not be shipped with meat. It is shipped via FedEx ground.
It is the customer's responsibility to make sure the recipient will be at home to receive the package or that the recipient address is safe enough for a package to be left. FedEx will not leave packages at multi-dwelling buildings with a shared entrance. FedEx will not leave packages in areas that they deem unsafe. In most cases, FedEx will attempt to redeliver packages for a second day. If multiple delivery attempts fail, then the recipient will have to retrieve the package from the local FedEx location. Meat received three days after shipment is not considered safe to eat.
We make every attempt to deliver your package via next day shipping. However, things like severe weather may cancel/delay flights and cause transit delays. It is also possible that your package incurs an additional transit delay on the FedEx side due to heavy volume, accidents, etc. These situations are out of our control. We advise that orders for special events be received at least one day early. Our meat is packaged to handle over 48 hours of transit time.
Our rate map is shown in the diagram below. All rates shown are for any amount of meat ordered. Eleven states closest to our processing plant have free shipping. Other states have an average shipping cost well under $20 and shipping to HI/AK is only $29.99. True next day national delivery for fresh product at these rates is simply unheard of. We encourage you to try to find anyone else who can even come close to our speed and affordability.
To maintain optimal freshness, all meat is vacuum packed as soon as it is portioned. (Click on the image to the left to see our vacuum packing machine in action.) Items are packaged as densely as possible to reduce your shipping costs. Some items are packaged individually and some items of the same type are packaged together.
When you receive your order you should immediately refrigerate all meat items. We recommend that you consume all meat products within 1 week of arrival for best results. Once items are removed prom the plastic, they should be consumed within 48 hours. We recommend you freeze any items you do not intend to consume within the suggested time frame.
